True Fuji Rock Love

She was an inside person. He was an outside person. They both loved Fuji Rock.

Japan’s iconic 3-day music festival at Naeba ski resort was the first outdoor festival Shin and Kanae Jyounai went to together, and it’s where they met each other’s friends. So why not get married there, surrounded by all their friends? An unconventionally fun choice for a wedding venue. And we couldn’t help but notice their wedding shoes.

“The first shoes that my husband recommended for an outdoor beginner like myself back then were KEEN boots,” Kanae says. “I was able to walk in them with no trouble on unstable trails and steep slopes all day long. Ever since I got them, my KEEN boots were a must at Fuji Rock. So it was a no-brainer to wear them at our wedding.”

"It was a no-brainer to wear them at our wedding."

Their Fuji Rock memories date back to 2009, but now they’ll never forget the 2022 show. “The sight of our friends gathered around the Day Dreaming stage bell, strangers stopping by and celebrating with us while we rang the bell as husband and wife, and being congratulated by the founder of KEEN himself! All of it combined to create our most favorite memory of all time.”
